In the past five years, the Los Angeles homeless rehousing system has rehoused more than 20,000 people a year. With numbers like that, it’s easy to forget that each of those people has a story. That’s why we’re excited to share permanent housing from our Welcome Home Campaign on The Road Home. Each week, we’ll share a different story of someone finding their home. This week, we’ll see the story of Stacie, who experienced homelessness on the streets for 23 years. Despite mourning the loss of her twin sister, battling with sobriety, and fighting for survival as a solo woman, Stacie now has a place to live indoors, thanks to LAHSA Homeless Engagement Team members Travis and Dominic.
